I am such a person, I need to be sure that I have mutual feelings with people. If I want to write, then the person wants to write to me, if I love, then I want to. But if I even for a bit feel that I am not happy, I stop writing, calling, and even thinking about this person. It starts to seem to me that I am imposing myself, and from this thought any desire to contact such a person disappears.
The level of understanding between partners is more important for maintaining healthy relationships than love for me. Think about this with the following example. All parents love their children. But many of them do not find a common language with children, there is no mutual understanding between them. Would love then save this relationship? No. From the presence of love, nothing is significantly improved.
